HELPING HANDS MINISTRY

This Ministry was organized in January, 2007 when Rev. Dr. L. R. Drinkwater, Sr., directed by the Holy Spirit saw the need for an “In House Mission” whose purpose and goal is to “strengthen young men and women to teach them the obligations of family life and change their hearts through the Holy Spirit.”

Through prayerful discussions, young ladies receive guidance, support and encouragement to help them stand against the tricks of the devil. The Sponsors use their own personal experiences as well as reinforce the Lessons and Sermons of Pastor Drinkwater (and the other Ministers of Redeemed) to offer hope and to strengthen the faith of the young women. They are told that problems and situations will come into their lives, but if they keep their hand in God’s hand, He will see them through their storms, in His own way and in His own time.

Things that are discussed in the Helping Hands meetings are considered privileged and confidential and we have adopted for our Motto “What Is Said in Helping Hands, Stays in Helping Hands”. The only person outside of the Ministry that is told about any problem is Pastor Drinkwater and that is only when we need guidance in a situation.

The Helping Hands Ministry sponsors do not solve problems, but we are here to encourage each other to remain faithful and to be obedient to Him who knows all of our needs. We cry together, we laugh together and we join hearts and hands, praying that God’s blessings and mercy will continue to be in each of our lives.
